I am interested in studying social interactions and parasocial relationships in online communities -- particularly online fan communities -- to better understand their impacts on their members and their experiences of media. I am especially interested in cases of celebrity scandal or parasocial breakups, along with how these experiences may impact psychological and emotional well-being.
